Rhode Island/Boston - Day 2

Woke up early, headed to Scituate, Ma with my dear friend Beth.

We spent the morning browsing shops in Scituate, and wandering along the water looking at the boats.  She is one of my favorite people to be around.  Everything is an adventure.  And everything is easygoing and beautiful.  I especially love who I am as a mother when she's around.  But today was perfection just hanging the two of us.

At one point, as we were sitting at the water at the Scituate lighthouse, we were approached by a leprechaun.  He introduced himself as "Lucky" the Celtics mascot and politely asked us to move out of his shot.  They are filming some footage for the first opening game.  After exploring all the options for middle aged housewives in the footage, we reluctantly moved.  But only after getting a picture.  This remains one of my top five funniest moments ever.

Then on to South Boston for what was promised to be the best lobster roll around.

Castle island where the food, the view and the company were top notch.

Stopping at the Weymouth Dunk where all your unfulfilled dreams come true.  This is where they are made, and the possibilities are ENDLESS!

Including one I have never seen before!

Snagged some ladies after school, which in turn, made me miss the two little ladies still back in school in Colorado.  The six of us make a pretty good beach crew.

And went to the same farm we picked blueberries just a few short weeks ago, and reclaimed my favorite fall New England tradition of Apple Picking!  We really did fit a LOT into one day.

Leaving them in the evening, I made a quick stop in Wrentham, and headed to a late dinner with Christine.

So full of happy to be able to reconnect with my dear friends!  Traditions!  Places!  Joy RISING!
