Labor Day weekend getaway
Decided to pull the kids Thursday and hit the road for one last summer hurrah!
Grandma helps Boo with makeup math homework
Got to tour Grandad's new house under construction. At 81 years old he is building his own house. It's a duplex and it fully handicapped accessible with showers that accommodate a wheelchair. It's pretty amazing to see the progress.
Took grandma shoe shopping to spend her gift card.
Lunch at Grandmas
And then a harrowing 4 hours watching my 81 year old father-in-law ignore the sound advice from the ground, and climb a jerry-rigged 60 plus foot ladder WITH A CHAINSAW to hack down a dead tree limb by limb.
After ensuring nobody was killed, we headed over to help Goob load her new furniture into our respective vehicles.
Between us all we go the furniture in her townhouse moved all around and got the new white sofa in.
Then we ditched the kids and headed for the mountain. With a stop for a good old fashioned Utah malt on the way. Mr.s fave!
Had the most wonderful night alone at our little mountain home together.
Stopped for brunch in the mountains at Silver Fork Lodge. I honestly cannot tell you how beautiful and delicious this little spot of ours is.
Then it was back down to do some grocery shopping and prepare for a family weekend.
