Birthday Girl!

Boo wakes up to find the young adult program at our church has left her a birthday sign and welcome to the new program message.  She is delighted.  As a unicorn!

Bug has been playing "Mother of the Mountain" with her cousins in Boston for years now and she was determined this would be her costume this year.  This is all her vision, executed with a plethora of nature and my prowess with a hot glue gun.  She is elated!  We make her wear shoes to school.

I dig into the archives of my leopard cardigan collection, don the ears I wear every year, and try my hand at a bold cat eye.  Girls are mortified.

When you're 12, you want to trick or treat with your friends, not your parents.  But we shadow them around the neighborhood.

My sweet parents hold down the fort, pass out candy, and my dad sweeps out my garage and my porch.  Couldn't be happier to have them in town.

Our pumpkins are more special this year because he grew them and helped us carve them.

I simply cannot believe 12 years have passed since I got to hold this one for the first time. She is just the best person.  She is a leader, fierce, determined, the champion of the underdog, and a person I just like so much.  Happy Birthday my sweet and sassy Boo Baby!
