NYC. Day #4
I got up and walked to one of the most beautiful buildings ever, really... Grand Central Station.
I've been coming to the city with young kids for almost fifteen years so I'm very comfortable in the city, navigating transit etc. Particularly when I'm not luging a double stroller single handedly down the STAIRS of the subway. And I have never felt unsafe.
But I will say, waiting in Grand Central after there had just been a threat at another station, was the only time I felt a little bit uneasy all weekend.
She arrived!
And we hit the town running like always.
Magnolia Banana pudding, proving I will eat almost anything with peppermint and chocolate. My only complaint was that bananas were involved.
Stopped for lunch in our little favorite pizza joint near Times Square
She comes bearing gifts. As always.
The pizza is amazing. As always. I eat it like there's no tomorrow.
Shopping for our gals.
Taking in the sites.
Mr. joins us when his meetings finish.
She goes on a shopping binge at Kate Spade
TKO! I cannot EVEN!
We walk her back to Grand Central where she takes the train home.
I weep. As always, when my dear Rhode Island friends make efforts to see me. When I left, I thought I was losing them for good. That they make efforts great and small to stay connected means more to me than just about anything I can imagine. Thank you L! You mean the world to me.
We stop at sugarfina where I see the only green cleanse I may ever consider.
Mr. brings us a late night snack back to the room. And it is so good you guys.
Life is good!
This weekend was pretty great!
I cannot believe I am so lucky.
